There was a time when little girls wanted to grow up to be ballerinas,
shoe designers and even Home County housewives, but not anymore
if a new trend in role models catches on. Daddy's little princess
will soon be more likely to seek the adventure and solitude of a
life spent on the road, develop a tough exterior and, much like
the mounties, always get her man. Bounty hunting is the way forward
for the fairer sex, you see, with two major films now in the pipeline.
Not only will Keira Knightley be seen as an unlikely predator in
the currently filming Domino, but Reese Witherspoon has been revealed
as the next to strap on holsters, producing and starring in an adaptation
of Janet Evanovich's mystery novel One For The Money.
The story tells the tale of Stephanie Plum, a down-on–her-luck
young woman who takes the path of the bounty hunter and resolves
to reverse her bad fortune by tracking down a former cop accused
of murder. By sheer coincidence he also happens to be the man who
once broke her heart into tiny smithereens.
